Dastkar Ranthambhore is a community-based craft initiative with over thirty years of experience creating sustainable livelihoods for rural women in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan.
Established in 1989 in the villages surrounding Ranthambhore National Park, the organisation works to revive traditional craft practices while addressing the socio-economic challenges faced by local communities.
Today, Dastkar Ranthambhore supports over 300 women artisans by providing skill training, fair wages, access to savings and soft loans, and a safe working environment.
Alongside craft production, the initiative contributes to community welfare through healthcare awareness and financial inclusion. By connecting handmade products to wider markets, Dastkar Ranthambhore ensures that traditional skills remain relevant, valued, and economically viable.
From children's drawings and Mandana wall paintings to the iconic Ranthambhore tiger — the blocks we print reflect the flora, fauna and folk traditions of our home.
To enhance the economic and social well-being of communities around Ranthambhore — especially women — through craft-based livelihoods, fair wages, market access, and the promotion of traditional handmade products, while driving lasting social change.
To create a future where handmade traditions flourish, women artisans lead independent lives, and craft is recognised as a meaningful and sustainable way of life.
