The Craft of Dastkar

Principles that define every garment we make

Hand Block Printing

Every pattern is carved into teak wood by specialist craftsmen who hand-stamp intricate designs onto cloth with mineral dyes.

Natural Dyes

Our palette draws from nature: pomegranate rind, turmeric, indigo, and madder root — colours that breathe beauty with every wash.

Artisan Heritage

We work with master block-printing families across Rajasthan, preserving techniques passed down over generations.

Ethical Craft

Fair wages, safe workshops, and community development — Dastkar is committed to being a responsible partner to every artisan.

“The quality is extraordinary. I bought a block-printed dupatta as a gift and ended up keeping it for myself. The colours are alive in a way that machine prints simply cannot replicate.”
